Ruth Carroll was born in Turlock, CA, a fourth generation Californian. She received a BFA degree with honors from the California College of the Arts in Oakland, CA. Her dream since childhood has been to create and sell her fine art. She has worked as a carver of carousels, a commercial artist and a dental hygenist in addition to raising three children.

Ruth paints what inspires her, currently working in oils, watercolors and encaustic. Her favorite subjects include still life, landscape, figurative work and portraits.
