"Art provided great pleasure to my father, a "Sunday Painter. I pursued it as a hobby until my retirement as a designer, at which point I threw myself into it.
My artistic goals are to use imaginative and creative efforts to intensify sensations of the real world. I am currently working on a series of birds in special settings. It takes me back to childhood days exploring the backwoods of upstate Minnesota. Later, during my design career, I enjoyed frequenting the National Aviary while working in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. My art focuses on bird shapes, colors, patterns and their attitudes."
Steve earned a design degree from San Jose State along with a minor in art.
He appreciates his wife's unwavering support, who tolerated paint on clothes and carpets for many years, before he had an art studio of his own.
