____________________________________ MAY Featured Artist: NICHOLAS MONTGOMERY Venture Gallery is pleased to display the talents of Nicholas Montgomery as our May guest artist. Nick creates images with written words to create shading and depth. He is inspired by great people as well as tragic events such as September 11. “Prominent people and events make an impact and good art makes the viewer feel something.” We hope you will come to experience this exhibit of his work. |
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. played a very influential role in his life. “The ‘I have a dream’ speech riveted me and comforted me. It is an iconic and powerful speech and the things he preached about then are relevant today. Growing up as an African American, I experienced first-hand inequalities Dr. King spoke about. I always kept the words of his speech with me for guidance.” “My goal is to touch as many hearts as possible with my work.” This show is dedicated to his father, Nathaniel Montgomery Sr., who unfortunately passed away on October 19, 2020. “I owe all my creative abilities to him and I can feel him with me as I prepare this show.” |
