She was a member of the gallery for many years. She was part of the gallery in its early days of existence. She saw many changes included moving from previous locations to the current location on the Alvarado Mall.
Haruko had a presence; quiet, kind, and generous. Her paintings often reflected the beautiful scenery of the Peninsula. We will miss many things, one of which was the food that she shared with members.

Haruko created painterly realism in oils. She worked in both plein air and in the studio. Oils were first love because she found the process relaxed her. The beautiful seascapes she created also soothed and touched her viewers.
