Sherree Anderson Sherree is the recipient of the 2020 Champion of the Arts-Professional Artist category from the Arts Council of Monterey County. At a young age, Sherree realized that she was drawn to the colors, shapes and details of our Monterey County landscape, and seascape scenes. Although, she did not follow a career in the arts, she continued to pursue her love of realism oil painting throughout her working professional life. Traveling inspires her to paint scenes, and places of personal interest that may have a story to tell. Over the many years of pursing her love to paint, she has continued to take art classes, participated in various workshops, and seminars in the Monterey and Gold Country areas. Sherree is a member and President of the Central Coast Art Association. She has had her work on display at the Galeria Tonantzin in San Juan Bautista, the Pacific Grove Art Center, Seaside City Hall, the Sally Griffin Senior Center, Miniature Shows at the Monterey Museum of Art, and the Pebble Beach Post Office. She is a member, and currently has her work in Venture Gallery, Monterey, CA. She has won juried awards at the Monterey County Fair, and the Central Coast Art Association (CCAA) show at Seaside City Hall, and the Fall Art Competition at the Walter Lee Avery Gallery in Seaside, CA.
